The DBQ Academy is a 10 week course that meets each Monday at 8pm EST for 2 hours. If you can't make the live class, they will be recorded and accessible in the class portal. We will also have accountability sessions and access to our dean, Dr. Nicole Edwards in a private Facebook group. In the class portal, you will have access to all the tips and tricks, templates, and cheat sheets to help you achieve pro-status at completing accurate and complete, in-high-demand, VA disability claims!
Our next course starts on 2/1/2021 and runs every Monday night until 4/5/2021.

Certified Veterans Disability Claims Examiner!
MODULE 1
Week 1: WHAT IS C&P
Learn the History of C&P, the different roles in the C&P Process, Relevance of C&P, and why Veterans are willing to pay for this service. You will also learn different aspects of jobs available with this certification like medical record reviews, and appeals. You will learn what information the Veterans need to provide and the different steps needed to complete this process for Veterans in the Reserves or National Guard.
MODULE 2
Week 2: CLAIMS
You will learn the different types of claims such as new vs increase claims, primary vs secondary claims, pre-existing condition claims, and how to write Rater-Approved Nexus Statements. You will also learn how to review rating sheets, denial letters, and how to add supporting documents to strengthen your opinions to increase the chance of your claim being approved.
MODULE 3
Week 3-8: WHAT IS A DBQ
Learn The specifics of DBQs, different types of exams, Which DBQs require a specialist for completion, and Equipment needed. Learn how to complete the different DBQs, how to do each exam CORRECTLY, and how to help Veterans submit their forms. We will go through the upper extremity DBQs, Lower extremity DBQs, Spine DBQs, GYN DBQs, Neuro DBQs, and all general medical DBQs.
MODULE 4
Week 9: Setting Up Your Business
Learn the equipment needed, Where to Complete the exams, office space requirements, licenses required, Insurance required, and staffing requirements. By the end of the course, you will be equipped to start seeing new clients immediately!
Module 5
Week 10: Live Q&A & Assessment
Presentation of Certificates, Last Minute Questions, Introduction to Veteran's C&P groups online to show you as an ally with adequate training and certification.
Written assessment with subsequent review and discussion.
